The design gave the Goodies hitmaker the perfect silhouette thanks to its cross over neck and belted waist, which accentuated the star's taut physique.

Already standing at 5ft 9in, the American singer ensured she towered above the rest in a pair of strappy black heels by Paul Andrew.

She wore her raven locks in a sleek style and kept her make-up understated, opting for a brown smoky eye and nude lip.

Work the leather dress look like a pro

A leather dress might not sound like the most easy-to-wear piece, but trust us when we say they are taking new forms, and they're more sexy and stylish than ever. Just take a look at Ciara here who is working a very fashion-forward look in this Topshop kimono style wrap dress.

The Eastern-inspired number creates an enviable silhouette, the soft supple leather is brought in expertly at the waist thanks to the tie. This Topshop dress may not be available to buy anymore, but we have found four ways to crush on the leather dress trend in our edit below.

Continue with the wrap theme at Marc New York by Andrew Marc and Venus before teaming with a pair of strappy high heels for a vampy after-dark finish.

Playing host for the evening was British TV presenter Vernon Kay, who was seen sharing a photo with his wife Tess Daly and Ciara.

Pulling his toothiest grin, Vernon looked dapper in a grey suit, while Tess cut a sophisticated figure in a short black dress and strappy black heels.

There was also a performance from Only Love Can Hurt Like This hitmaker Paloma Faith, who looked stunning in a red ensemble.

Rocking her typically outlandish sense of style, the 33-year-old was sure to stand out in her bright mini shift dress, which she teamed with a matching red hat and a pair of sparkly red court shoes a la Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair also said a few words at the event.

Standing up from his seat next to retail tycoon Sir Philip Green, who founded the school ten years ago, he said: 'When Sir Philip came to meet me at Number 10 to discuss his vision he wanted to create something that was not a school but an academy.

'Somewhere that valued and taught to the best degree and maximised young people’s potential.

'Our country is a leader in design and creativity and the Fashion Retail Academy has helped nurture its students and excite them about future possibilities.'
