Sometimes a wife likes to give her husband a subtle hint about their love life, but no one has ever accused Mel B of being subtle.

She was spotted giving her husband Stephen Belafonte a pretty clear message upon her return from a book store in West Hollywood, California on Sunday.

The mother-of three was seen carrying a brown paper bag, which turned out to be filled with books about sex.

Mel's 'giftbag' for her husband contained, among others, the Little Big Book of Sex Games, a book on karma sutra and The Big Butt Book 3D.

Stephen could be seen laughing as he looked through the stack, and appeared keen to try out some of the positions from the karma sutra book.

Not that anyone could blame him, with his Spice Girl wife turning heads in a tight black dress.

The knee-length number had sexy mesh panels which showed off her legs and a hint of her black underwear.

The 40-year-old Spice Girls star elongated her legs in a pair of black towering pumps, and added a pop of colour with a red handbag.

Their comes just days after the couple packed on the PDA at a party in Hollywood Hills, where they were spotted kissing and cuddling.

The loved-up display proves that Mel and the film producer have put the previous months of speculation over their marriage well and truly behind them.

Shortly after, Stephen slammed speculation from fans of Mel's on Twitter that he had hit her, telling MailOnline, 'You can only re-mix ten things, ten ways, so many times.
