Going abroad allows you to experience new cultures, climates and eccentric locals going about their daily routines.

And one opportunistic video maker captured exactly the latter while standing on a beautifully picturesque street in Tuscany.

In the clip, an apparently drunk man makes his way down a cobbled, slopping road – terrain that would be difficult to negotiate sober – with his bicycle.

As he struggles down the hill he uses the brake on his bike to slow his progress and walks alongside it with his feet slapping down onto the pavement with every step.

The locals watching the man – who have perhaps witnessed him negotiating the same road before – make noise in anticipation of him falling.

But for the most part the man does quite well.

Despite stumbling down the road, he manages to hold himself up and uses the bike as a form of stabiliser to steady his speed.

Momentum eventually begins to take over however, and the bike starts to ride away from him as he struggles to control the pace.

The crowd notices as the man begins to lose his balance and the noises become louder.

The bike then turns sideways and all is lost for the man – he falls onto the floor to the sound of cheering from the group of onlookers.

Rolling about, the man attempts to get his balance and scrambles to his feet while holding onto the wall for support.

He then goes down to pick his bike up from the ground but ends up falling head over heels again and landing on top of it.

The video concludes with the man getting to his feet and falling over one more time before a bystander picks up his bike and gives him a much needed hand.
