TOWIE bosses confirm James Lock won't be suspended after finding no racial abuse took place during filming at Essex pool party

The Only Way Is Essex star James 'Lockie' Lock has been cleared after it was claimed he made a racist comment on set.

James was alleged to have used an offensive term against two men during a pool party held at a mansion in Chigwell, Essex.

However, ITVBe bosses have confirmed in a statement to MailOnline that no racial abuse took place, saying: 'We have concluded our thorough investigation and are satisfied that no racial abuse took place during filming on Wednesday 1st July.'

According to The Sun, the men did not complain but a witness who overheard the allegedly offensive remarks reported the incident to bosses.

A source from TOWIE makers Lime Pictures told the publication: ‘Any issues of this nature are obviously taken very seriously and a thorough investigation is already ongoing.’

A show spokesman added: ‘The cast member concerned denies these allegations.’

The 27-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to a drugs charge following an arrest in 2014.

James was handed a fine for possessing 702mg of ketamine – a horse tranquiliser with hallucinogenic properties last February.

He was initially arrested on suspicion of possession and criminal damage after he and another male were involved in a dispute with a taxi driver in Dagenham.

James pleaded guilty for the possession of a Class C substance, an offence that carried a maximum sentence of three months in prison.

Instead, he was given a conditional discharge and told to pay £85 court costs before leaving court looking stony-faced

A recent episode of The Only Way Is Marbs saw Danielle Armstrong call time on her relationship with James just as he was about to pop the question.

Realising that he has a lot work to do before he can win back his lady, James admitted in Wednesday night's episode of the ITVBe show that he needs to battle his demons.

Agreeing to part ways amicably, the 27-year-old promised to work on his anger issues but moments later became embroiled in an explosive argument with Elliott Wright.

Expressing how much love they still have for each other, a teary-eyed Armstrong then told James that he desperately needed to sort himself out for his own peace of mind.

Seconding her stance, he asserted: 'I need to go away and sort out my demons. Hopefully I can like salvage us'.
