Jeff Goldblum is a father for the first time at the age of 62.

The Independence Day: Resurgence actor welcomed a son with wife Emilie Livingston, 32, on the 4th Of July. They named their little bundle of joy Charlie Ocean.

That same day the Jurassic Park star shared a photo where they were cuddling with their new son in the hospital as he appeared to be letting out a cry.

The actor took to Facebook on Tuesday to break the news.

'We're so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day,' the movie star wrote.

Jeff is currently in production on Independence Day: Resurgence, a sequel to 1996's blockbuster Independence Day.

The acting vet will be starring alongside the stars from the original film (Bill Pullman, Sela Ward and Vivica A. Fox) as well as newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Joey King. The film is due out in June 2016.

Jeff announced they were expecting while he was on the Late Show With David Letterman earlier this year.

'She told me the day before we got married that she's pregnant,' Goldblum said.

They wed in November 2014.

Livingston works as a contortionist.

In late June she wrote that she was very far along in her pregnancy. 'Bursting! It's so hot out and the pain is real but I'm keeping my focus and patiently waiting,' she wrote.

She shared a photo of her bump. 

'Loving the journey to motherhood! Seeing my body change to accommodate and grow our little boy is too sweet for words,' Livingston blogged.

'I've had the best pregnancy I could have ever asked for and now I'm ready to meet our little boy.'
