The full impact of Kourtney Kardashian's split from Scott Disick is starting to really hit home.

The estranged couple's daughter Penelope celebrated her third birthday on Wednesday without her daddy as Scott opted to remain thousands of miles away in Florida.

Instead, the little girl and her mom enjoyed a trip to Disneyland to celebrate the tot's special day, taking with them sister Kim Kardashian and North West, aged two, grandmother Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble.

Leaving her problems behind: Kourtney Kardashian took her daughter Penelope to Disneyland on Wednesday to celebrate her third birthday just days after news broke that she has split with Scott Disick, and Kim and North came too

In the late afternoon, Scott did manage to send a message to his little girl on Instagram.

The note was especially sad, making it seem as if the hard-partying bad boy of E! was down on himself.

The Long Island native wrote, '1 of the only things I'm proud off about myself. Happybdayp.' Next to his note was a collage of Penelope with six photos where she had various costumes on.

That same day People reported that Kanye West is 'furious' at Scott for how he has treated Kourtney and how he has abandoned his three children.

So far the 36-year-old mother-of-three has done her best to put on a brave face in public and on social media although she has not yet spoken publicly about the break up.

But it can't be easy as Scott, 32, continues to stay away and opts not to be with his young daughter on her birthday

On Tuesday, alongside an image of himself, he wrote on Instagram: 'Come party with me this Friday in Vegas.'

On Wednesday morning he deleted the post from his Instagram account but then replaced it with the car photo.

People magazine quoted a source as revealing that the 32-year-old is unwilling to face the music after being photographed getting cozy with a rumored ex Chloe Bartolli in Monaco last week.

'He wouldn't go home, even though people told him to go home to [Kourtney] and his family,' the source told People. 'Things were already very tense between him and Kourtney.'

'It was one excuse after the other,' the source revealed. 'He said, 'I just need to stay away for another day to think things through' or 'I already have my flight planned.' The truth is, Scott was terrified.'

It emerged on Monday that Kourtney had dumped her partner, with the news coming four days after the DailyMail.com exclusively revealed the father-of-three was getting very cozy with Bartoli, a fashion stylist.

The reality star is understood to have become tired of her boyfriend's endless partying and the photographs of him caressing Bartoli, who is said to be an old flame, were the last straw.

'It's humiliating and disrespectful,' a source said of the pictures.

Scott's decision to keep partying and invite his fans to join him has angered those who were already upset with him after he was snapped cuddling up to Bartoli.

His antics came despite the fact Kourtney had allegedly pleaded with him to return to their Calabasas home in Los Angeles, where they live with their three children, Penelope, Mason and six-month-old Reign.

One user wrote: "Wow Scott I thought you were a better guy than this. What are you doing? You are a father! What about those three babies. Grow up!"

Last December, Scott purchased a 3.7 million home in Beverly Hills which he put in his name only, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

The residence, about an hour's drive from the family home in Calabasas, is likely now set to become his bachelor pad.

Last month, despite a recent stint in rehab, Scott arrived at a nightclub in Montreal so inebriated he was unable to be introduced to fans.

He's already spent time at controversial Costa Rican rehab center Rythmia Life Advancement Centre, where he checked in in March.

Scott has certainly expressed his struggle with being a devoted family man on their reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

In fact, last year, Scott went so far as to say Kourtney had kept 'suckering him' into having children.

In an episode last season, Scott was seen reacting badly when Kourtney broke the news that she was expecting their third child together.

'How many clothes does one little kid need?' he asked.

'A lot,' she answered.

'Can you shut the door for a second? I just wanted to tell you that I am pregnant,' she said with a coy smile.

'You just keep suckering me into these kids. I can't handle all of this responsibility,' Scott replied.

'I just can't take care of more kids,' he added.

If that wasn't bad enough, it was revealed on Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons late last year that the pair have been sleeping in separate bedrooms.

Kourtney and Scott met at Joe Francis' house party in Mexico in 2006. They briefly split in 2010 reportedly due to Scott's problems with drinking.
