Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen is ready for battle in red suit and cape as she leads rebellion in new Mockingjay - Part 2 teaser

The districts are at war as the adaptation of popular YA series The Hunger Games comes to its conclusion with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2.

And Jennifer Lawrence - as Katniss Everdeen - is at the center of that fight, as evident in the latest teaser, posted on the 24-year-old's Facebook page on Wednesday.

In the clip she stands regally, looking like quite the warrior in a crimson red suit and bellowing brown cape atop a sculpture of the District 12 salute, which has now become the symbol of the rebellion.

Lady in red: Jennifer Lawrence took to her Facebook on Wednesday to share a new teaser for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, in which she sports a fiery red suit as warrior Katniss Everdeen

Katniss sports her long, brunette locks pulled back into her signature braid, and can be seen ready for battle, armed with her weapon of choice, the bow.

The inadvertent leader of the rebellion is seen staring off camera at first, but then as it begins to pull back - and the battle music intensifies - she slowly turns her head to face it.

As the camera pans back viewers can see that Katniss is standing atop a massive stone sculpture of the now infamous District 12 salute, which has become the symbol of the rebellion.

'Unite D13' The teaser - which appears to be rebellion propaganda, similar to what Katniss was seen filming in Part 1 - later ensures viewers 'The revolution is about all of us'

Once the camera pulls back far enough to be able to see the entirety of the sculpture, a message appears on the screen above Katniss.

It reads: 'Unite D13 The revolution is about all of us,' and the clip is then followed by the words: 'Stand by for a message from District 13.'

District 13 is where Katniss found herself following the events of the Quarter Quell edition of The Hunger Games (at the end of Catching Fire), and where - during Mockingjay - Part 1 - she worked with its President, Alma Coin (played by Julianne Moore), to officially become the face of the rebellion.

On Wednesday Jennifer also shared a new movie poster for Mockingjay - Part 2, which featured Katniss in her crimson suit, equipped with red arrows.

The Girl on Fire can be seen in her blood-red ensemble, in stark contrast to the white background and white throne the champion is primly sitting on.

The movie's dramatic poster reads: 'The fire will burn forever,' playing on Katniss's nickname and likely also the will of the people, who she and President Coin roused to action in the prior film.

Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth also star in the series' dramatic conclusion, alongside the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 hits UK cinemas on November 19 and is released in the US on November 20.
