Lenny wins over Nicole's kids

It's been a while since Nicole Kidman was able to play happy families.

But after a messy breakup with husband Tom Cruise and a string of ill-fated romances, it seems the actress has found someone who mixes easily with her children.

Lenny Kravitz, 39, was spotted playfully knocking the hat off Miss Kidman's son Connor, eight, while she and ten-year-old daughter Isabella laughed at the rock star's antics in a New York street on Saturday.

And on Sunday the foursome attended a performance of La Traviata at the Metropolitan Opera House.

Although the couple at first denied a romance, last week Miss Kidman, 37, allowed her spokesman Leslee Dart to confirm: "They're very close. He's very important to her."

Friends say the romance has even met with Cruise's approval.

"Nicole phoned Tom to make sure he was okay with her introducing the kids to Lenny," a source close to Miss Kidman said yesterday.

"He thinks Lenny's a great guy."

Friends, however, say rumours of an engagement have been "exaggerated" and a ring Miss Kidman wears on her wedding finger is one she has had for some time.

She and Kravitz, they add, share a love of partying and both have children around the same age.
