About an hour after bringing all of their purchases into the house, the family realized that their youngest child was nowhere in sight.

They ran to the backseat of their Ford Explorer and discovered the infant unresponsive.

The 11-month-old was pronounced dead at Plantation General Hospital just after 7pm.

Solowsky, the spokesman of the Lauderhill Police Department, noted that children are much more vulnerable than adults when it comes to hot temperatures and reminded parents to keep a close eye on youngsters in the car, as WSVN reported.
