Pam: 'I'll be dead in 10 years'

Former Baywatch poster girl Pamela Anderson astounded fans yesterday by claiming she would die from hepatitis C within ten years.

The 36-year-old said: "I think I've got a good ten years left in me, which is sad, maybe 15 if I'm lucky."

Anderson caught the liver disease by sharing a tattooist's needle with ex-husband Tommy Lee, the Motley Crew drummer.

Rather than take hepatitis drug interferon, she has opted for new-age homeopathic mix. She said: "I've been feeling great. My liver keeps getting healthier."

The mother-of-two also said her wedding to rapper Kid Rock, to whom she was engaged in 2002, is off.

She said: "I just need to be with my kids and work on their relationship with their father, Tommy."

Hepatitis C causes inflammation of the liver, which can lead to cirrhosis, liver cancer and liver failure.
