  • Tennis WAG is passionate about sport and revels when Andy wins
  • Victoria is openly not a football fan and looks bored when watching sport

This week it was revealed that thanks to marrying his long-term girlfriend Kim Sears in April, Andy Murray has boosted his earnings by £30m. Such is the allure of the British couple they have been dubbed the 'new Beckhams'.

While Wimbledon champion Andy, 28, is a akin to David, 40, in terms of sporting prowess, it seems their choice in a partner couldn't be more different.

Here we look at the very different lives and style of Mrs Murray and Mrs Beckham...

CLOTHES AND STYLE

Victoria, 41, has long been a lover of designer labels and has now become a renowned fashion designer in her own right.

Whatever the occasion, whether she's on the school run or even partaking in sport herself (she once wore wedges and hotpants to play baseball), Victoria always looks sophisticated, stylish and primed to perfection.

She loves her sky high heels - even if they give her bunions and a sore back - and admits it's only in the last year she's dared to be parted from them to wear flats occasionally.

Posh rarely dresses down, as demonstrated when she played baseball in wedges in 2007, left, when her short blonde hair shows how she's experimented with hairstyles. Kim, right, often dresses practically for walking the dogs in trainers or wellies and has always kept her hair long

Meanwhile, Kim always does her best to look flawless when she watches Andy play at Wimbledon - wearing wedges and carrying a designer handbag - but the rest of the time she prefers to dress down.

Watching Andy's less high profile matches at events like the Australia Open she'll wear a T-shirt and shorts and when she's at home, she prefers to dress casually in jeans and jumpers.

When she is seen in raised shoe, it's usually a wedge over a stiletto and she's much more comfortable in her trainers or wellies. After the Wimbledon winners ball in 2013, she took her heels off as soon as she could to walk home with Andy barefoot.

Their different approaches to style are demonstrated when flying, Posh, left, lands in Heathrow from a flight in 2010 in heels and a short, red dress while Kim arrives at the same airport in 2012 in jeans and trainers

While Victoria is a fan of high end fashion, Kim favours the High Street. In the past she's been pictured watching Andy in clothes from Topshop, ASOS, Whistles and Hobbs and for one of Andy's opening matches this year she wore a dress from Zara.

For the Wimbledon final in 2013 she did wear a designer gown though - by none other than Victoria Beckham.

While Victoria has changed her image over the years experimenting with different hair lengths and colours and making daring fashion choices, Kim has always stuck to what she knows.

She's often seen in the same denim jacket, carrying the same Tote bag and her long hair is always worn loose in a bouncy blow dry.

CAREER

Victoria has forged a name for herself in her own right, first as part of the world's most successful girl band the Spice Girls and now as a fashion designer.

Even if she wasn't Mrs Beckham, she would still be world famous and has amassed 8.55m Twitter followers.

In comparison, Kim is most famous for being a tennis WAG, her name becoming associated with Andy's since their relationship began as teenagers.

She has a degree in English Literature and has been quietly forging her own career as an artist, doing commissioned pet portraits through her business Brushes and Paws.

Her Instagram account for the business has 4,769 followers and she doesn't have a personal Twitter account - although the couple's dog Maggie May does.

Unlike Victoria, Kim seems happy with a life away from the spotlight as much as possible and has never given magazine interviews or photoshoots.

FAMILY

Victoria had her first child with David - Brooklyn, now 16, when she was 25. They went on to have two more sons Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10, and then daughter Harper, three.

With a big family varying in ages, Victoria keeps busy supporting them in their various hobbies - taking her sons to football matches and cheering on Romeo in the London Marathon 'Mini Marathon' earlier this year. Harper often accompanies her when she sits on the front row of catwalk fashion events.

Following a stint in LA when David played for LA Galaxy, the family are now settled back in leafy West London.

Kim, 27, and Andy are yet to become parents but they are the proud owners of border terriers Maggie May and Rusty.

Kim is Sussex born and bred and the couple own a mansion there - although Andy is often away training in Miami or travelling the world for tennis tournaments. Kim usually only travels to watch him at the four grand slams (Australia Open, French Open, Wimbledon the U.S. Open).

She loves spending her time painting and taking the dogs for long walks in the countryside.

PASSION FOR SPORT

Victoria is happy to confess she's not a fan of football and wouldn't chose to go to a game unless it was to support her husband or sons when they take to the pitch.

Given she's not that interested in the game, it's perhaps not surprising she would often take her showbiz pals along to matches to entertain her.

In the past, she's been joined by Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay when watching David play for LA Galaxy.

Being married to a sporting superstar though means Victoria is often forced to accompany him to other sporting events. She's joined him in the royal box at Wimbledon where she was pictured looking glum and bored by the match unfolding in front of her.

In comparison, when Andy plays, Kim passionate about how he performs and follows every point.

She claps, she cheers, she yells 'come on!' and punches her fist when he wins a key game and looks tense and strained if the match isn't going his way.

As the daughter of a tennis coach and former head of women's tennis at the Lawn Tennis Association, she knows and loves the sport as well as Andy.

Such is her passion for the game, she got into trouble at the Australian Open when she was caught on camera swearing at Andy's opponent.

'F***ing have it you Czech flash f***' she is thought to have yelled at Tomas Berdych after Andy broke him in the first set of their semi final clash.

She later poked fun at the incident by wearing a baggy T-shirt with the slogan 'parental advisory explicit content' on it.

This highlights another difference between her and Posh - Victoria would never have been seen dead in such an unflattering T-shirt and is often accused of having no sense of humour because she's always pouting and frowning.

SHOWBIZ PALS

David and Victoria count A List stars include Tom Cruise and Will Smith among their friends.

Victoria remains close to her Spice Girl bandmates Emma Bunton and  Geri Halliwell while she'll sit on the FROW at fashion events with U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

The Beckhams are even friends with royalty after David forged a friendship with Prince William when they helped London win the 2012 Olympics and they were invited to the royal wedding when he married the Duchess of Cambridge.

Meanwhile, Kim and Andy's circle of friends remain those they have known all their lives or have met through tennis.

Andy's brother Jamie, retired professional tennis player Ross Hutchins and Britain's current number two James Ward are among their close friends.

While the Murrays don't have as stellar circle of friends as the Beckhams, they do have one showbiz pal - James Corden. He has joined them at Wimbledon in the past and has been on double dates with his wife, Julia.

WEDDING DAYS

From the announcement of their engagement to their nuptials, the Beckhams were happy to be in the spotlight. They had a photo call where Victoria showed off her engagement ring. In comparison, Kim's ring was also first pictured when she was snapped with it on her finger when going for a coffee.

On the big day itself, David and Victoria sold rights to their wedding to OK! magazine in a lucrative deal.

They married in 1999 at Luttrellstown Castle just outside of Dublin. The Spice Girl wore an 18-carat gold crown encrusted with diamonds and a gold Vera Wang gown. At the reception, the couple sat on thrones surrounded by their famous friends.

Meanwhile, Kim wore a vintage style Jenny Packham dress when she tied the knot with kilt-wearing Andy at Dunblane Cathedral.

Only close friends and family were invited to the big day and they declined magazine deals to cover the event. They didn't even release an official picture of the day, instead the snaps were taken by photographers waiting outside the church.
