Perez is the second Rosie to jump from The View ship this year with Rosie O'Donnell leaving in February - the same time it was first rumoured Perez would be leaving as she went part time to appear on Broadway.

No replacement has been announced yet for her spot on the panel which currently also includes newcomers co-host Raven-Symone and guest co-host Michelle Collins.

According to Deadline, the show had planned to announce that Michelle would become a permanent host rather than just a guest one on Wednesday - which still leaves Rosie's spot free.

However, the site reports once producers saw the emotion created by the host's leaving it was decided it would be best to let Rosie 'have her moment'.
