Imam Bukhari Jamaat is the largest Uzbek group operating in Syria and is allied to the Al Nusrah Front, al Qaeda's official branch in Syria, Jaish al Muhajireen wal Ansar, and Katibat al Tawhid wal Jihad. The group used to be part of Al Nusrah, but has since left to form its own group. The leader is one Sheikh Salahuddin and he and the rest of the group has bayah (allegiance) to Mullah Muhammad Omar of the Taliban.
