'That lady is a tramp!'

If her performance in Kill Bill Vol 2 is anything to go by, Uma Thurman is not a woman to cross.

So when Rebecca Loos tried to edge in on the spotlight at the movie's London premiere, the formidable Miss Thurman let her have it.

The girl making a fortune selling tales of an affair with David Beckham in Spain was left in no doubt about the movie star's opinion of her.

"It sounds pretty low," Miss Thurman said when asked about Miss Loos.

"I don't know the facts of course. I'm not sure whether she's trash or tramp. I'd say tramp, though. She can't get enough PR."

Miss Thurman, 33, was hardly likely to have any sympathy for a woman said to have had an affair with a married man.

She recently separated from Ethan Hawke, her husband of five years, after he had a fling with a waitress.

Miss Loos, 26, attracted a great deal of attention at the premiere on Tuesday. She attended with television presenter Emma Basden, who appeared to be wearing a copy of the outfit Beckham had worn the night before when he and his wife Victoria attended a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Yesterday, Miss Loos was eager to respond to Miss Thurman's attack.

"I am a real princess - just ask David!" she said. "I am classy, sophisticated and full of energy."

Public profile

Miss Loos is steadily building her public profile in the wake of her allegations.

She will appear on Davina McCall's ITV programme Love On A Saturday Night this week and is also negotiating a role in a new reality show, Hell's Kitchen.

Yesterday Max Clifford, who arranged her kiss-and-tell publicity, said: "She was supposed to go back to Spain yesterday, but she has had so many offers that she is staying on.

"She's having a great time and can't believe that there is so much interest in her."

Death threat

Yesterday Miss Loos said there had been a downside. She said she had received a death threat after her first television interview with Sky.

"I received an anonymous call saying that there was a price on my head," she added. "I was petrified - it hasn't been easy."

Yesterday the Beckhams, who have been under intense public scrutiny since Miss Loos made her allegations, spent their third night apart.

The couple, who have denied her claims, are said to have decided against Victoria now joining her husband in Madrid.

Sources say she is insisting on remaining in England because of their elder son Brooklyn's schooling.

Miss Loos has claimed the fact that Victoria did not follow Beckham to Spain when he signed up for Real Madrid had left the way open for an affair.

"If there hadn't been a gap in that bed, then I wouldn't have been in it," she said.
