Chelsea have offered midfielder Marco van Ginkel to Stoke in a bid to finally land Asmir Begovic.

The Blues are looking for a replacement for club legend Petr Cech, who swapped Stamford Bridge for Arsenal this summer.

Chelsea are willing to give Stoke a player on loan but have rejected Mark Hughes' request to take Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Stoke have turned down Nathan Ake, Patrick Bamford and Nathaniel Chalobah but are mulling over Van Ginkel who has been on loan at AC Milan and is a target for Newcastle and Sunderland.

Van Ginkel came through Vitesse Arnhem's academy in Holland before joining Chelsea in 2013.

He played 18 times for Milan while on loan last season, scoring one goal against Roma in May.
