'Live and let die': Ellie Goulding ignites speculation she's recording the Spectre soundtrack with cryptic Bond-themed tweet
Ellie Goulding confirmed that she's recording new material on Thursday, but she's dropped a hint that it may be James Bond's Spectre theme tune that she's laying down.
The musician explained that she was too excited to sing when she was captured in the recording booth this week before simply saying 'Live and let die' on Twitter.
Ellie, 28, hit the Chiltern Firehouse later that night, keeping schtum on speculation that she will be putting the vocals to the upcoming 007 release.

Stylish outing: Ellie Goulding donned a suede miniskirt to party the night away at the Chiltern Firehouse in London on Thursday evening, having roused suspicion that she's recording the Bond theme
Fans quickly latched on, saying: 'If this is James Bond related I love you even more' and 'Bad***. You're going to do a song for one of my favorite movie franchises. :)'
Meanwhile, other fans shared their delight to simply see Ellie back in the studio when she was captured smiling behind the glass.
She captioned the sweet picture: 'Joe caught this moment where we got really excited so much so that I couldn't sing'

Keeping it casual: The 28-year-old singer dressed her look down with a leather jacket and ankle boots
Ellie's last single was Love Me Like You Do, released in January, and it headed up the memorable soundtrack to Valentine's Day's Fifty Shades Of Grey.
The song came from Ellie's second studio album Halcyon Days, which followed the hugely successful Lights debut.
There have been some huge names linked to the Bond theme tunes, including Sam Smith, Adele and Lana Del Rey.
Skyfall was famously recorded by Adele and it won her an Academy Award, Grammy, Brit and Golden Globe Award - so Ellie would have some big shoes to fill.
Going solo: There was no sign of the Burn chart-topper's boyfriend, McBusted star Dougie Poynter
The blonde wasn't letting any kind of pressure get to her on Thursday night, all the same, as she cut loose in London yet again, rocking a simple yet stylish ensemble as she turned up at the Chiltern Firehouse.
The Burn hit-maker left her McBusted boyfriend Dougie Poynter at home for her solo outing, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Bradley Cooper at the celebrity hotspot.
Ellie was fashionable as ever in an on-trend suede miniskirt, which she paired with a basic white vest top.

Party pal: Also attending the Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday evening was Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton
The 28-year-old singer covered up in a leather biker jacket, toting a matching leather handbag and adding a pair of suede ankle boots.
She wore her bob down in a straight style and opted for her favourite beauty look, a natural pink lip and a dramatic flick of winger eye-liner.
Ellie has been spending time in the studio in recent weeks, working on her third album, which is expected to be released next year.
The star, who has been teasing snapshots from recording sessions on her Instagram account, recently mentioned her progress in an interview with Capital FM.
'The album's going well,' she revealed. 'I'm just trying to take my time a bit more, this year my focus is solely about getting my record finished.'
Single and ready to mingle: The racing pro, who split from Nicole Scherzinger earlier this year, was looking fashionable as usual
Ellie - who was responsible for the popular Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack song, Love Me Like You Do - could also reportedly have another huge movie hit on her hands.
When Sam Smith was quizzed about rumours he was set to perform the next James Bond theme for Spectre, he replied, 'People seem to think I'm doing it but I have no idea what's going on. I'm being deadly serious.
'I think I would know by now... I heard Ellie Goulding was going to do it.'
