'In a heartbeat!': Halle Berry tells Comic-Con fans she would love to reprise her X-Men character Storm... as long as it's before she's 65

It's been 15 years since she played Storm in the first X-Men film.

And Halle Berry, 48, has not forgotten about her iconic character - as she explained to Comic-Con fans on Thursday. In fact, the actress revealed she would love to reprise her role in the superhero franchise.

'If it's before I'm 65-years-old, I would absolutely do it,' the Oscar winning actress told Deadline when asked about a possible spin-off movie.

'In a heartbeat I would do a Storm movie. I love that character through and through,' she said while promoting her sci-fi series Extant at the annual gathering in San Diego, California.. 

'So if that ever became an opportunity for me if it’s before I’m 65-years old I would absolutely do that.'

The star has portrayed the mutant superhero Storm in four of the live-action X-Men movies. Although nothing is currently in the works, Halle urged her X-Men fans and followers to sound off.

'Well, I think they should do it. If the fans want that the fans need to speak up and I’m sure it would be a possibility,' she continued.

'If Fox felt like they could make money off of a Storm movie I’m sure it would be a possibility. Comic Con is a place I actually love going.'

The mother-of-two marked her return to the Comic-Con fest for a panel discussion with Extant co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

'I'm kind of disappointed when the years go by that I don't have a reason to go,' she added about missing previous events.

'It's all about fans and it's the one opportunity that I have found where I can just connect to, relate with, talk to my fans, people that are diehard.'

Adding: 'For me it's always been a really feel good event where I get to really touch the real people that really watch what I do and appreciate what I get to do and I get to do it because of them.'

Currently, the latest installment in the X-Men franchise, X-Men Apocalypse, is being filmed in Canada with leading stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne and Nicholas Hoult.

Halle's original co-star Hugh Jackman has previously stated that Apocalypse will be his last and final X-Men movie. Franchise newcomers Olivia Munn, Sophie Turner, Oscar Isaac and Lana Condor have also been cast.

Extant is in the midst of it's second season and tells the story of an astronaut (Berry) who struggles to learn how she became pregnant while on a 13-month long solo space mission.

Halle will return on Saturday for Fox's film panel in which footage from the home version X-Men Days Of Future Past - The Rogue Cut will be screened.
