However, one sorry that was noticeably missing was to the Wolfee Donut shop in Lake Elsinore where the incident took place, which reportedly failed its health inspection after the happening.

The Problem hitmaker began the black and white video: 'Hiya it’s me. Forgive my puffy cheeks please, I’m making this video from wisdom teeth recovery hell.

'But I just wanted to make a video to apologise again for the whole donut fiasco and craziness because I feel like the apology I posted, I kind of missed my opportunity to actually sincerely apologise and express how I was feeling, because I was too busy preaching about my issues with the food industry, which is not, I feel like, relative.'

Something missing? She said sorry for her actions and comments on hating America in the clip but failed to make any formal apology to the Wolfee Donut shop in Lake Elsinore, California where the incident took place

She went on to address her comment in the shop about hating Americans as she explained: 'I've actually never been prouder to be an American to be honest with you. The advances that we've made in the past couple months and all the wonderful progressive things that have been going on. Never been prouder of this country actually.'

Ariana added: 'But yeah, here I am apologising to y'all, puffy cheeks and all because I feel like seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly that you have no idea that was taken is such a rude awakening that it's like you don't know what to do.

'I was so disgusted with myself, I like wanted to shove my face into a pillow and like disappear, but instead of that I'm going to come forward and own up to what I did and take responsibility and say I'm sorry because I reacted in a way that I feel like wasn't necessary to say the least but also just wasn't me at all.'

The former girlfriend of rapper Big Sean went on to explain that she is only in her early twenties and still has plenty of learning to do.

'I've still got a lot to learn and I'll make mistakes and that's how I'm gonna learn. I'm gonna learn from my mistakes and I'm gonna learn from messing up.'

She concluded: 'It's all a process, but yeah, I want to be as good as I possibly can be for my babes and yeah. So I'm not here to make any excuses or justify my behaviour 'cause I can't, I'm just here to apologise and tell you that I love you and I appreciate being able to talk to you so directly like this and that I am very sorry... and I love you.'

Now the popstrel may find herself in a bit of legal trouble as according to a TMZ report on Thursday, the donut shop was told one of the reasons for it not passing the check was down to 'customers licking donuts incorrectly placed on counter.

Now the shop owner, where the singer was seen in footage licking the sugar coated goods and also heard saying: 'I hate Americans. I hate America,' is pushing for for charges to be brought against her of 'cross contamination.'

Embarrassed: Ariana did feel humiliation for what she did as she revealed: 'I was so disgusted with myself, I like wanted to shove my face into a pillow and like disappear'

Ariana is not mentioned by name in the report -- but TMZ says a manager told the inspector the employee didn't know Ariana had tongued the goods, and '"placed them back in display case for sale."'

The establishment has been given a week to sort out the issue and had one letter docked by the health department.

They have been left with a B rating.

Authorities are now looking into the incident and seeing if they might press charges as reports surface claiming the store owner wants to have the two charged for 'cross-contamination.'

The issue is if food-borne illnesses or germs are transferred as a result of the 'licking' it could be potentially seen as a crime.

'I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country,' Ariana said in an earlier statement about the incident.

'What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words'

The controversial incident took place as she and her new love interest, backup dancer Ricky Alvarez upset staff members with their behavior.

At one point, the pair shared a couple of kisses but when a fresh batch of donuts was placed on the counter, the singer is heard saying: 'What the f**k is that? I hate Americans. I hate America.'

In the doughnut shop video, Ariana and Alvarez can be seen at first pretending to lick the doughnuts on display on the top of the counter.

On Wednesday, police in Lake Elsinore said they and Riverside County public health officials were investigating the leaked video.

An account of the incident came from 22-year-old Mayra Solis, the cashier on duty at the donut shop who claimed the singer not only didn't purchase any of the donuts she licked but also told the Associated Press: 'she was really rude.'

Since the footage of Ariana emerged on Tuesday, she canceled her appearance at a MLB All-Star Concert this Saturday to be replaced by Demi Lovato.
