Ruby Rose proved herself to be a real smoothie, when she handed out a green vegetable juice to a local beggar.

The 29-year-old Orange Is The New Black actress stopped to perform the compassionate gesture when she hit the shops in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

Showing off her edgy sleeve tattoos, the Australian model joked with the wheelchair-bound gentleman - who was perhaps expecting a different kind of green-back as he was collecting dollars in the upscale neighbourhood.

Ruby Rose isn't just a beautiful tatted actress that attracted millions after starring on Orange Is the New Black, she also has a heart of gold.

While strutting her swag self in Beverly Hills, Ruby gave some pressed juice to a disabled man. What a sweetheart!

Double R went full on rebel, wearing a black leather vest over a black tee, white jeans, black sandals with emblems, round retro shades and to top it off a orange and black backpack-ironic.

Ruby's 'Orange Is the New Black' backpack is by MCM called 'Urban Night' (we like the name we chose better).

The androgynous star looked relaxed and happy as she ran errands in skintight white jeans and flat black sandals before finding the gentleman some dollars and the healthy beverage.

Her leather waist coat made the most of her colourful arm art - displaying some of her over 60 tats - including one of Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The Maybelline model swept her cropped red-tinted locks to one side and covered her eyes in completely on-trend round framed Wildfox Couture dark glasses.

Ruby, who came out as gay when she was 12-years-old, has risen rapidly to fame since joining the third season of the Netflix series, as inmate Stella Carlin.
