Spot on: Katharine McPhee shows off toned tummy in a black polka dot two-piece dress for Scorpion panel at Comic-Con

She finished as runner up to Taylor Hicks on season five of American Idol.

And a nearly decade later, Katharine McPhee is hitting the high notes when it comes to her fashion sense.

The 31-year-old singer-turned-actress was seen at super convention Comic-Con International in San Diego, California on Thursday.

The brunette beauty joined her castmates from her CBS programme Scorpion for a panel during the world famous event.

No doubt all eyes were on her as she sported a clinging black polka dot two-piece dress which gave more than a peek of her toned dummy.

The croptop was cut low enough to show a bit of her cleavage as the white dot pattern matched the pencil midi skirt.

Put your dots on display like Katharine

San Diego Comic Con was star studded and with stars comes fashion.

Katharine McPhee made her entrance wearing a retro polka dot co-ord set along with orange suede pumps.

The ensemble Kat chose is by A.L.C. but sadly the exact polka dot set is not available...so much for showing yours spots!

BUT WAIT, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. If you head over to Revolve Clothing you can get the black version of Kat's co-ord OR you can take a look at our style carousel below.

We've got black and white picks from Boohoo and Missguided. Pair them with Kurt Geiger orange pumps like Katharine or wear them with a baby pink pump.

Katharine completed the look with a pair of orange suede pumps while accessorising with a few silver bracelets.

She wore her brunette tresses in a middle-part as the locks flowed into waves over her shoulders.

The House Bunny star's make-up was natural and complimentary of her facial features as she finished off the look with a swipe of pink lip.

While posing for photos before the panel, she cuddled up with co-star Robert Patrick, who is best known for his work on 1991 hit action flick Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

The two stars were not the only ones in attendance from the American drama as Elyes Gabel, Eddie Kaye Thomas and Jadyn Wong were also on-hand.

Their series is centred around an eccentric genius, played by Gabel, who forms an international network of other super-geniuses in order to act as a last line of defense against threats of the tech world.
