The star will be flying in from Atlanta, Georgia, where his soon-to-be ex wife is currently filming.

A source tells the DailyMail.com that the Batman star is there to try to ensure Jen and him remain a family even if they are getting divorced for children nine-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina and three-year-old Samuel.

The estranged couple spent all of last week in the Bahamas with the children in a bid to shelter them from their divorce drama as it was officially announced that they had separated.

It is understood the couple's 10 year marriage had been struggling for some time but Ben has continued to live in his own 'man cave' at their Pacific Palisades home in a bid to stay close to his family.

The star has, however, been hit with numerous allegations that he has been unfaithful to Jennifer - something he has denied.

Sources have also suggested his love of gambling and drinking also cause stresses on the couple who met and fell in love on the set of their 2003 movie Daredevil.

The couple announced just over a week and a half ago that they had made the 'difficult decision' to divorce.

In a statement to People magazine, the pair said: 'After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce.

'We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.'
