Having a Good Time! Robert Pattinson set to star in director brothers Josh and Benny Safdie's new crime caper

He's been an in-demand actor since wrapping the final film in the Twilight vampire franchise in 2012.

Now Robert Pattinson is set for Good Time, an indie neo-grindhouse caper from directing duo Josh and Benny Safdie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 29-year-old plays Connie, a bank robber trying to evade the police who are closing in on him.

Josh and Ronald Bronstein wrote the script for the film, which will be produced by Sebastian Bear-MCclard of Elara Pictures,

The Safdies unveiled their new movie on their joint Twitter account, adding a link to THR's story.

'Excited to announce a project we've been working on and very excited to make with the untamable Robert Pattinson,' they wrote.

The news quickly circulated around the hunky actor's fans on social media via Robert Pattinson Life, a Twitter account and blog devoted to the Brit.

Since starring as Edward, the lovelorn vampire in the blockbuster Twilight franchise, Robert has concentrated on indie roles in films with significant directors, according to THR.

These include The Rover by David Michod in 2014; David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis in 2012, and his Maps To The Stars in 2014.

This year he played T.E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, flirting with Nicole Kidman's Gertrude Bell in the Arabian peninsula in the early 1900s, in Werner Herzog's Queen Of The Desert. The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

Life, in which he plays a snapper assigned to photograph James Dean, also played at Berlin and will open in the UK on September 25; The Childhood Of A Leader, about the rise of fascism in the 20th Century told through the eyes tells of an American boy living in France in 1918, is also due to bow this year.

The Lost City Of Z, with Sienna Miller and Charlie Hunnam, follows real-life British explorer Percy Fawcett who ventured into the Amazon jungle in search of a fabled civilization in 1925 and never returned. It's slated for 2016.

Meanwhile, Robert has been spending time with his fiancée, British artist-singer FKA twigs. He and the 27-year-old, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, got engaged in April.

Look bold and beautiful in a statement dress like FKA's

FKA Twigs is never one to do things by halves and even amidst the showstopping gowns of the Met Gala, the singer managed to stand out in this multicolored dress. Hardly a wallflower is she?!

This dress, hailing from Christopher Kane's Fall collection, is not only fashion-forward but has a story behind it too. The sensual applique print actually derives from 'lover's lace', sketches that Kane and his team made during life classes.

And despite that bold applique detail and stand-out color-block, this dress never seems contrived or overbearing. Extra style pints go to those minimalist strappy heels and simple topknot. Gorgeous.
