Talk about a dog's dinner! Mickey Rourke wears unflattering ensemble as he takes pooch out for a meal in Beverly Hills
It was certainly a somewhat appropriate ensemble.
For Mickey Rourke looked quite the dog's dinner as he took his adorable pooch out for a meal in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
The jolly actor was grinning with glee as he showed off his unique style mode in the well-heeled area of Los Angeles.
Taking the Mickey for a walk: Rourke was accompanied by a handsome companion and his pooch as he went for a meal in Beverly Hills on Thursday
And why not, for the Nine And A Half Weeks favourite was drawing plenty of stares in his skin-tight green running bottoms, black jacket, woolly hat, trainers and comically oversized sunglasses.
However the handsome 62-year-old's stylistic coup de grace was a fetching red neckerchief, which highlighted his rippling chest and tattoos.
Mickey also had the ultimate fashion accessory tucked under his right arm like a rugby ball - an adorable toy dog.
The pet lover famously credited his animals when he won a Golden Globe in 2009, saying: "I'd like to thank all my dogs. The ones that are here, the ones that aren't here anymore because sometimes when a man's alone, that's all you got is your dog."
Looking ruff: Even Mickey's pooch seemed a little embarrassed as they plodded along the pavement
Man's other best friend: Mickey was accompanied on his outing by his faithful sidekick Giuseppe Franco
Method acting: Mickey was getting useful practice in for his role as a gay Irish rugby player by carrying his pooch under his arm
But Mickey was not the only hunk on the prowl in Beverly Hills.
For the star was accompanied by his sidekick Giuseppe Franco, who looked as cool as they come in a black T-shirt, jeans and biker boots.
But life is not all fancy lunches and afternoon strolls for Mickey, who is worth an estimated $15 million.
For he is said to be gearing up to play a gay rugby player from Ireland in a film tentatively called Irish Thunder.
He also has a number of other projects coming out, including Ashby, a comedy about a dying CIA assassin. Other films featuring the actor being released this year include War Pigs and Skin Traffik.
It's a dog's life: Not every animal can boast they get to go on outings to swanky Beverly Hills restaurants
A matching pair: Perhaps the actor was channeling his pet's collar look with neckerchief and necklace combo
No neckerchiefs allowed: Thankfully Mickey was not the wardrobe manager when erotic classic Nine And A Half Weeks was being filmed
