'I'm not taking my dogs to Australia!' Eva Longoria takes a swipe at Johnny Depp and reveals she won't be repeating his mistake by bringing her pooches Down Under

She is set to arrive in Australia later this month.

But on Thursday, Eva Longoria took a swipe at fellow Hollywood actor Johnny Depp when she reassured fans her two dogs will be staying in America when she makes the long-haul trip.

It comes after Depp was given 48 hours to remove his two terriers from Australia after failing to declare them at the airport customs in May.

Speaking to The Fix, 40-year-old Eva said she will only be joined on the trip Down Under by partner Jose Baston, despite becoming inseparable from their newly-purchased French bulldog.

Back in May, Johnny Depp and wife Amber Heard were caught with their two terriers in Australian after failing to declare them at the airport customs.

At the time, the government gave the couple 48 hours to remove the pooches from the country with the consequence of them being put down.

It is believed the couple transported their pet pooches, Boo and Pistol, from California to Australia on a private jet, arriving on the Gold Coast on April 20.

The pair faced fines up to $340,000, according to The Daily Telegraph at the time.

The publication also reports the pets' private jet flight to Los Angeles could cost more than $400,000.

Consequences: The couple were given 50 hours from the Australian government to take their dogs back to America, while also facing large fines
