Tom Cruise’s daughter Isabella is following in the footsteps of her superstar father by going into the movie business - not as an actress but as a specialist hair and make-up artist.

Isabella has just graduated from the exclusive Delamar Academy of Make-up and Hair. The school is located at Ealing Studios, West London, a famous institution used for filming big budget movies, TV drama Downtown Abbey and music videos for the likes of Coldplay.

The 22-week ‘Advanced Complete Make-Up Artist’ course costs $22,000 a year and it’s the first sign that she wants to go into the glamorous film world, a world when she’s previously shied away from.

For the last three years, she’s been in London where she studied art at university before going onto do a 12-month diploma in hairdressing at Vidal Sassoon Academy in central London. She completed that course in December.

In January, she signed onto Delamar Academy, whose previous students have won Oscars and BAFTAs for their make-up work. One recent graduate, Ali Reith, went onto work as a make-up artist on Cruise’s film Edge of Tomorrow.

The Duchess of Cambridge came to visit Ealing Studios in March when she went on to the Downtown Abbey set although it’s not known if she met Isabella. Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has done filming there.

The adopted daughter of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Isabella,  22, is now ready to become a full-time hair and make-up artist and will be needing to use her dad’s connections in the business.

Isabella has been learning lots of new skills and even posted a series of pictures on her social media page Ello of a fellow student looking like a junkie and captioned ‘made an addict today for a character project’.

She’s been having plenty of fun on the course as well as showing a massive artistic talent. In one lesson, she’s wearing vintage wigs, as if she’s in a 1920s black and white film.

Although Isabella’s circle of friends has changed slightly, she is still close to her Scientology friends in London, including wealthy families who live close to the Church’s HQ at Saint Hill, West Sussex and prominent members who are working at the Scientology center in central London.

Isabella enjoys keeping out of the limelight and has quietly built her own career although she’s never wavered in her strong faith for the Church.

Daily Mail Online can exclusively reveal that in December, Isabella traveled to Clearwater, Florida, the world headquarters for Scientology, which has over 60 buildings in town including the grand Flag Building, also known as the Super Powers Building.

The Cruises have spent months at a time at Clearwater completing courses and being intensely 'audited'.

When Isabella and brother Connor were younger, they would spend long stretches at 'Flag' while their father went up the ladder of courses to where he is today, which is at the very highest level, called 'Operating Thetan (OT) VIII'.

Isabella likes to come to Clearwater, as it’s where a lot of her rich Scientology friends in London and Los Angeles go to complete their courses, which costs hundreds of thousands dollars. This time around, Isabella had her hair cut at her Scientology friend Sofia Sweet’s salon Labella.

Isabella has a lot of catching up to do on her Scientology courses just like her brother Connor, who has only completed the Competency and Leadership course in 2010. Isabella achieved the Basic Study Manual ten years ago.

Just three months after Isabella’s trip to Clearwater, Tom and Connor also headed over to Florida. Tom would be keen for both Isabella and Connor to do more courses especially as they've spent years of their lives based in Clearwater.

Tony Ortega, who runs the anti-Scientology website The Underground Bunker, says that the children’s lack of courses is common in Scientology celebrity offspring. It doesn't mean they are lacking in faith, but often have other things going on in their lives.

Tony says: 'Bella's lack of Scientology completions, that doesn't surprise me. Second generation Scientologists, particularly the children of celebrities, often turn out to be very casual about their involvement in Study Tech. They are Scientologists to the core, but they don't bother with the Bridge or going up levels.

'Isabella may be taking courses in Clearwater, but I would say just being there has as much to do with identity as anything else.

'A gung-ho Scientologist who joined as an adult may feel that he or she has a lot to prove to show their commitment, so they'll do every level and volunteer in other ways. But the child of a Scientology celebrity? They have nothing to prove.

'They're Scientology royalty, and no ethics officer would dare get aggressive with Bella or Connor about taking courses.

'I've noticed it with other second-generation Scientology celebrities. They tend to have few course completions. Many of them aren't even Clear.'
