Britney Spears wears high heels and short shorts to bargain shop at Target with sons and hunky bodyguard after split from Charlie Ebersol

She may have spent $71,000 on her wardrobe last year, according to new documents.

But that doesn't mean Britney Spears doesn't have an eye for a bargain.

The 33-year-old was spotted on Wednesday doing a bit of shopping at retail giant Target in Thousand Oaks, California with her two boys and a hunky new bodyguard.

The singer showed off her impressive figure in a tight pink top and a pair of high black shorts, braving the aisles in a lofty pair of black strap wedge heels.

Despite having her burly minder at her disposal, Britney decided to push the trolley herself as they emerged into the car park.

The Toxic hitmaker's haul included some toys for the boys, a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, a giant bag of Cheetos and a multipack of Dr Pepper.

Britney couldn't wait until she got to the car to crack open a can of soda.

Sean Preston, nine, and his eight-year-old brother Jayden James trotted along happily beside their mother the whole time.

Jayden's skateboarding obsession obviously still hasn't abated yet as he carried a board from the shop while rocking a Nike 'Skate every day' T-shirt.

Sean meanwhile continued the theme with a Thrasher Skateboard Magazine baseball cap.

According to Britney's conservatorship documents, which she is legally bound by since her meltdown in 2007, the star earned $14M last year, and spent $71,629 on clothes and stylists.

The twice divorced mother-of-two has been single since splitting from boyfriend of eight months Charlie Ebersol last month, when she deleted all evidence of them together from her social media accounts.

Channel ultimate elegance in a floor-sweeping frock like Britney

We don't care what people say, we are Slaves 4 Britney in this runway piece from Kuwaiti designer, Yousef Al- Jasmi.

This demure gown is elegant and subtle, a perfect choice for the mother of two. She stands out among the flesh exposed, scantily clad performers at tonight's Billboard Awards. (cough, cough Rita Ora) Which is exactly why we like it.

It's always great to keep people guessing and certainly Britney surprised us all when she stepped out on the red carpet in this modest, long sleeved gown embellished with a layer of beaded lattice.

Unfortunately this Kuwaiti designer dosn't sell in America, but because we're so Lucky, life has given us other options!
