They've been friends for many years, and he once even said she has the power to turn him to 'jelly'. 

And pals Kate Beckinsale and David Walliams enjoyed a night out on the town together on Thursday night as they attended the annual ITV summer party in London's Notting Hill. 

Dressed to impress for the occasion, the 41-year-old actress cut a stylish figure as she put on a leggy display in a white skort, powder pink blouse and brown skyscraper heels.

Giving the style a sleek finish, the Underworld star - who has been married to Hollywood producer Len Wiseman for over 10 years - layered the look with a pale blue blazer as she held tight on to the arm of her long-time friend.

Wearing her hair in glamorous Hollywood waves, Kate couldn't stop laughing as she and the Britain's Got Talent judge walked to their waiting taxi.

David, 43, looked equally as suave as his long-time pal in a dapper navy blue suit, which he prevented from looking too formal with a slightly unbuttoned white shirt.

Kate Beckinsale made her way through London looking stunning. The hottie with a body is preparing for her role as Selene in Next Generation, we can see she's starting her training, look at those legs!

The white blazer, pale pink top and asymmetric white mini skirt did wonders for her body. Kate paired her all white ensemble with brown suede platform pumps along with a classic Chanel 'quilted caviar leather' bag with silver chain detailing.

The Little Britain star seemed in high spirits as he exited the exclusive soiree with his friend. 

David split from model wife Lara Stone, the mother of their two-year-old son Alfred, just over three months ago. 

The comedian started dating the Dutch beauty in 2009, and married her in an intimate London ceremony the following year. 

But prior to meeting Lara, he admitted he had a soft spot for both pal Kate and his other female bestie, Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia.

David told The Guardian in 2009: 'One's Kate Beckinsale, that I've known for a really long time, since before she was well known, and Natalie Imbruglia as well.  

'When I'm with them I turn to jelly because they're so exciting to be with, but neither of them would ever go out with me, so I can't."

Kate has been married to her film-maker husband Len Wiseman since 2004. 

It's onwards and upwards for David who recently revealed the BBC have commissioned another sketch show by the Come Fly With Me creator, though his busy schedule means he will be unable to write another series of comedy, Big School.

He tweeted: 'Excited to say I'm making a new sketch show for @BBCOne. The BBC asked for another #BigSchool series but sadly there wasn't time to do both.'
