There were reports that they were 'heading for break-up' last month.

But Gwyneth Paltrow and beau Brad Falchuk proved that much like The Coliseum; they are going strong.

The 42-year-old actress was spotted along with the 44-year-old television writer and producer as they took a drive around Rome on Thursday.

Their relationship certainly seemed to be going along swimmingly as the Shakespeare In Love actress got behind the wheel during the trip in the Italian capital city.

According to a report from People, they were seen driving from the airport to their hotel when Brad 'sweetly helped [Gwyneth] drive through town.'

Their source added: 'They were serene and pleased in each other's company.'

This was quite a different report than the one last month suggesting that the actress and her boyfriend of the past year were on the rocks.

According to a report from the June 29 issue of Life & Style, friends say the blonde Iron Man star and the Glee producer are about to end their relationship.

'Gwyneth is breaking up with him,' said an unnamed friend of the Mortdecai actress.

'Things got very serious very fast, but lately all they did was fight all the time and she's tired of it.'

The two Hollywood stars began dating at some point in 2014, shortly after Gwyneth announced her separation from rocker Chris, 38, after 10 years of marriage.
