Petr Cech enjoys holiday in Sardinia ahead of linking up with new Arsenal teammates

Petr Cech is looking in good shape ahead of his first pre-season with Arsenal after joining the club in a £10million deal from Chelsea last week.

The 33-year-old Czech goalkeeper was pictured soaking up the sun in Sardinia with his wife Martina and their children on Thursday.

Cech, donning blue shorts, enjoyed some family time before he joins up with his new teammates at their London Colney training ground.

The Czech international sealed his switch to Arsenal last month, the signing announced more than a week after the transfer was revealed by Sportsmail, to end an 11-year association with Chelsea.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Cech won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and Europa League.

However, he fell behind Thibaut Courtois in Jose Mourinho's pecking order last season and decided to move across London in search for regular football.

And Cech could make his debut against his former club when the rivals go head-to-head in the Community Shield at Wembley on August 2.
