It seems not a day goes by that Alex Gerrard isn't pushing herself hard at the gym.

But the relentlessness of her routine has well and truly paid off, as she cut a striking figure while out and about near her new home in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 32-year-old wife of footballer Steven Gerrard showed off her incredible lithe and toned figure in a gym outfit that would make most people blush.

She pulled it off with ease, though, in particular flaunting her lovely legs - all toned thighs and slim calves - in a pair of teeny-tiny shorts in a pale turquoise shade.

The entire workout look was in similar blue shades, her figure-hugging vest sitting snugly to her trim physique.

Cooling off after another session, she tied a matching long-sleeved top around her narrow hips, while finishing off her flattering ensemble with grey trainers with matching turquoise details.

Her sunkissed blonde locks were pushed back off her face and tied up to keep her cool, and she also donned a pair of oversized and retro shades.

She was a smiling beauty in deep conversation on her phone while pounding the Los Angeles streets, after picking up a healthy juice and heading back to her car.

Alex has clearly been getting into the swing of her new LA lifestyle, after trading Liverpool for the Californian city due to husband Steven's career move.

She has been spotted on several occasions lapping up all that the famously healthy city has to offer, keeping up with her fitness regime and filling up on the many healthy beverages on offer.

A self-confessed gym bunny, she had previously discussed about her concerns ahead of moving to celebrity-filled and image conscious Los Angeles.

Speaking to Closer magazine, the WAG discussed snaps of herself that were revealed from her holiday in Dubai, where she proved her fitness gains in a skimpy bikini.

'I'm always dead critical of myself... but I do feel good at the moment. I've got a lot more definition than I thought I'd ever have. I've definitely noticed the difference most on my stomach and my legs,' she told the magazine.

'I just want to look my best out there because I know everyone in LA is so into their appearance, fitness and healthy eating,' she admitted.

The blonde beauty, who now looks every inch the Californian girl, also admitted she looks better than she previously did: at 5ft 9in and just over 9st in weight, she is in better shape than ever before, and it shows.

'I'm a lot leaner and more toned now than I was before. Back then I obviously wasn't overweight, but I was unfit and probably had a bit of excess weight here and there.'

Her 35-year-old footballer husband recently moved from Liverpool to play for LA Galaxy, following in the footsteps of British icon David Beckham, who had played for the American side in 2007 after moving from Real Madrid.

And mum-of-three Alex will no doubt be feeling more at home now she and her footballer beau have reportedly settled on a lavish new $13.6 million Beverly Hills mansion for the family.

Situated in the upmarket 90210 zip-code and home of the rich and famous, Alex and Steven's new property has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, as well as breathtaking views of the City of Angels.

Located just minutes away from Rodeo Drive and yards from where Elvis Presley once lived, the 12,000 square foot abode retails at around $45,000 a month.

Alex, Steven and their three girls - Lilly-Ella, 10, eight-year-old Lexie and Lourdes, three - moved to Tinseltown after he signed to the US soccer team earlier this year.
