Alan Mullery answers whether Tottenham are in the process of taking over from Arsenal as north London's leading team for an extended period, as well as who, on current form, are top dogs and who will finish higher in the Premiership?

Tottenham are now doing what Arsenal have been doing by bringing in a group of young players who they can develop. They have formed a good squad with cover in most positions.

This is what Arsene Wenger did 10 years ago with Nicolas Anelka and subsequently with Emmanuel Petit, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires. Spurs gambled on Edgar Davids in the summer and he has proved the perfect foil for their young players.

I believe there will be a shift in power in north London with Spurs fans having plenty to look forward to.

Who, on current form, are top dogs? And who will finish higher in the Premiership?

Spurs to finish above Gunners.
