Frank McLintock answers whether Tottenham are in the process of taking over from Arsenal as north London's leading team for an extended period, as well as who, on current form, are top dogs and who will finish higher in the Premiership?

Martin Jol is building a good squad of players who are building in confidence even though they are not totally consistent yet.

Arsene Wenger has always said that when he selects players he doesn't look at their passports but I admire the fact that Spurs are getting a good core of British lads in their squad. I think it is sad when you look at a team and see only foreign names.

I am not suggesting that Arsenal don't have good foreign players because clearly they do, but at the moment some of their younger ones are still in the development stage.

They needed a couple of extra players in the summer, which they didn't get. You can't just snap your fingers and make the youngsters as good as they might eventually be.

Who, on current form, are top dogs? And who will finish higher in the Premiership?

Gunners to finish above Spurs.
