Mel B showcases her hour-glass figure in a skintight black dress as she takes to the stage at MTV Fandom Awards in San Diego

A Spice Girl reunion may never happen but Mel B is keen to make the most of her her vocal talents given the opportunity.

And there was no better time and place for the former chart-topper to prove she's still got a powerful singing voice than at the MTV Fandom Awards as part of the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday evening.

Mel, 40, took to the stage at the annual convention which was held at Petco Park in California and managed to show off her stunning shape in the process as she became the centre of attention.

Mel dared to bare in a skintight, black asymmetric dress which clung to all the right places, highlighting her hour-glass figure and shapely legs, on full display.

The former Scary Spice was a vision of elegance in the evening frock, which she teamed with black strappy sandals and a bold plum lip.

Mel scraped her voluminous hair into a neat top knot that she kept in place with a generous lashing of hairspray.

Mel's stage slot was part of the MTV Fandom Awards, hosted by Scream star Bella Thorne and Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey.

The former X Factor presenter was seen getting friendly with the presenting pair and posed for an obligatory backstage photo following the ceremony. 

Mel's performance was watched by her husband Stephen Belafonte and she was grateful for the support.

The twosome larked around outside the venue when proceedings wrapped and Mel boasted about their strong relationship on Instagram.

'Always having fun with my baby boo @stephenthinks11 #wraparound hahaha,' she captioned one silly snap of the pair.

'The love of my life, it gets stronger every day,in every way!!! Rushing home tonight,' she wrote alongside another similar image.
