The news of Patti's exit comes two months after the Kenya Moore debacle, during which the matchmaker faced criticism about her vetting process and was accused of setting up the Real Housewives of Atlanta star with a married man named James Freeman.

In May, the self-professed relationship expert scrambled to defend the screening procedures of her Bravo reality show after it emerged that Freeman - who went on to date Moore after meeting her on the programme - is married to a volleyball beach babe.

Stanger, who also executive produced the show, insisted that she does run background checks on all contestants, but ultimately conceded she was uncertain about Kenya's claims that Freeman two-timed her.

In addition to the Kenya scandal, Patti's failed romance with former boyfriend David Krause led many fans to question her Cupid credibility.

In June, she publicized her breakup on her website explaining the separation in a blog post.

'Before you hear it from anyone else, I wanted to let you know myself—David and I broke up. Figure out what your daddy issues are and be on the look out for what's a daddy red flag,' she advised.

Patti has recently added a few other job titles to her growing empire, including a podcast The Love and Sex Report, a wine label called P.S. Match, and brand ambassadorship for Completely Bare waxing products.
