Elle Fanning looked practically gift-wrapped in her ribbon-riddled cocktail dress at the opening night of Outfest in Los Angeles Thursday.

The 17-year-old ingénue paired her plunging, pale green frock with ornate broaches and chrome pumps selected by her stylist Samantha McMillen.

The Boxtrolls blonde later went onstage the Orpheum Theatre to serve presenting duties at the LGBT festival, which runs through July 19.

Fittingly, Elle - born Mary - will next play a transgender teen called Ray in the indie dramedy Three Generations.

The timely tale - hitting US theaters September 18 - also stars Naomi Watts, Susan Sarandon, and Tate Donovan.

'Taking this special journey with Ray showed me the human capacity for love, courage, and acceptance,' Fanning told Teen Vogue this week.
