'The adventure begins': Country crooner Sam McClymont takes the reins from Natalie Gruzlewski as the new host of The Farmer Wants A Wife

She's known for her hitting the stage and busting out a song with her sisters in the band, The MyClymonts. 

But now 29-year-old Sam McClymont will be gracing our TV screens as the host of The Farmer Wants A Wife, helping Aussie farmers find love on the Channel 9 show in her first presenting role. 

The blonde beauty who is originally from Grafton, shared her excitement at joining the show on the Today Show on Friday.

During an interview with Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson the bubbly blonde revealed she hasn't yet met the farmers but is looking forward to doing so.

'I'm so pumped. I actually haven't met any of the farmers yet, I've just been stalking them all like that crazy ex-girlfriend, I've been looking at all their videos…so I'm excited to meet them,' she said. 

Of her new TV role, she added: 'A couple of amazing opportunities came up this year. I did some shows for Getaway, and then Farmer came up.'

In a statement, she said she was looking forward to hosting the show because she has been a longtime 'fan.'

'The thing that has struck a chord with me, and I think the TV audience, is that the men and women going on this show are genuinely looking for real love,' she said. 

'Being newly married, I look forward to helping these farmers and ladies find that special someone, and hopefully we can add some more marriages and babies to the show's amazing success rate,' part of the statement read.

Stuart Clark, Nine's new production executive labelled the singer 'the perfect host.'

On Instagram, she shared an image of herself as she was being interviewed by Lisa and Karl.

Sam came to fame as part of the country trio and Aria Award-winning act, The McClymonts with sisters Brooke and Mollie.

She is married to Ben Poxon, a pilot, who she met in Iraq in 2006 while touring there with her band.

They eventually tied the knot in Tasmania at the end of last year.

She has previously talked about her man to Daily Mail Australia and spoke about when they first met.

'Being the captain of the plane he actually invited the singers up to the front, he was pulling all the moves out,' she said.
