The pair, who have been on the run for close to three weeks, were heading to Canada, but police officers caught up with them. They are now in pursuit of Sweat, who before the escape was in for life with no possibility of parole after being found guilty of pumping 15 bullets into a sheriff's deputy before running him over. On Friday evening, authorities said they believed they had the wanted man surrounded in woodland and trained floodlights onto the 2.5 mile quarantined area where they have him contained.
