A black tie dress code clearly does not mean what it used to.

Tyler Posey go hearts beating a little faster on Thursday night as he decided to ditch his clothes midway through hosting the MTV Fandom Awards.

While the 23-year-old did a number of changes through the evening held at the Petco Park in San Diego, California, at one point he decided clothes in general just were not his thing.

The Teen Wold star shocked his co-presenters actress Carly Aquilino and television personality Nessa by strolling out on stage wearing just a pair of black pants with suspenders and a bow tie.

The buff star immediately had the audience screaming with his tattooed torso on display.

But he was not done there.

With the help of the ladies and without a hint of bashfulness, the MTV star pulled off his pants too.

Wearing just a pair over very small tight black boxer briefs, Tyler did more than just reveal his body.

With his derriere facing towards the now histrionically screaming audience, the star revealed his favourite television show - besides his own - is Orange Is The New Black as his underwear had its abbreviation - OITNB - printed across his bottom.

But wait, there's more: With the help of the ladies and without a hint of bashfulness, the MTV star pulled off his pants too

Despite being left clad only in his undies, suspenders and a bow tie, the actor continued with the show.

Earlier in the evening, Tyler had been much more covered up - literally - as he ran out on stage to scare his co-host Bella Throne wearing a mask pretending to be the killed from Scream.

While Bella screamed, his covered up look did not get as many shrieks as his less is more ensemble.

The award show came on a big nigh for Tyler as it was revealed at Comic-Con that his show Teen Wolf has been renewed for an impressive sixth season.

Tyler plays a werewolf on the MTV show who finds himself not just battling for the lives of those he loves.

He told the crowd of Comic-Con moments before the announcement: 'I knew the show was great. I never had expectations.'
