2006 Education tables for 14-year-olds

Here is a school-by-school breakdown of performance in the 2006 national curriculum tests for 14-year-old pupils in English, mathematics and science.

The tables show the percentage of eligible pupils in secondary and middle schools in England achieving at least "level five" in each subject, the standard expected by the Government.

The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) has also reported, for the first time, the percentage achieving the higher "level six" or above.

This is to show parents which schools have helped pupils achieve results beyond the expected level.

There is also an average point score per pupil which is intended to reflect the attainment of all pupils, not just those reaching level five or six. The number of points assigned to each level is 51 for level eight (mathematics only), 45 for level seven, 39 for level six, 33 for level five, 27 for level four, 21 for level three and 15 for level two (maths and science only).

The 11 to 14 value added measure shows how much difference an individual school has made to pupils' performance. It measures how well children performed at age 14 compared with expectations based on test results at age 11. Schools where pupils did as well as expected score 100. Each point above or below 100 roughly equals a term's progress gained or lost.

Here schools are grouped in regions. Within each region, you'll find every local education authority listed alphabetically.

Where results are not given and N/A appears instead, no data was supplied by the DfES.
