Sheffield United felt the reality of life

back in the Football League yesterday

when drawn against Chesterfield in the

Carling Cup first round.

The Blades remain

hopeful of salvaging

top-flight status as the

Carlos Tevez saga

continues to rumble on,

but ahead of Monday’s

arbitration panel

hearing they were given

a home tie with

Chesterfield, who last

season knocked out

West Ham, Manchester

City and Wolves.
