New mum Catherine Tyldesley continues her post-baby fitness regime as she grabs a healthy drink on a stroll with fiancé Tom Pitford and son Alfie

She has been hard at work to get back into shape after giving birth to her first child in March.

Taking no days off, Catherine Tyldesley kept up her fitness regime on Friday during a leisurely stroll with her fiancé Tom Pitford and their son Alfie.

Journeying through the streets of Hale, Cheshire, the 31-year-old Coronation Street actress was picture sipping on a healthy green drink.

Embracing the lovely weather, Catherine went for the casual look in a black vest top teamed with a maxi skirt and tan sandals. 

Donning a pair of aviator shades, Tyldesley topped her ensemble with a knitted red cardigan as she toted a black leather bowling bag.

Playing the role of the doting father to perfection, Tom pushed little Alfie in his stroller as their precious cargo napped.

With the date of her return to the Cobbles fast approaching, Tyldesley has been upping her workouts and as a result she has lost one stone. 

As well as making her return to TV, Catherine is also venturing into health and fitness. 

The actress recently revealed that she worries about celebrity endorsed products and DVDs with no proper expertise and as a result she is now back to school studying fitness and nutrition.

'I have started studying again for my nutrition course, its been on hold since Alfie was born, but as I've said in the past – the more I learn – the more I can share with you guys,' she wrote in a blog post for Hello.

'I think there are far too many people giving out advice that have zero qualifications to do so! I'm amazed at some of the 'advice' I read in magazines/on DVD's. 

'One needs to be so careful these days – with countless books and DVDs being endorsed by various familiar faces, its hard to know who actually knows what they're talking about.'
