Tevez looks to bid adios to the Premier League

It seems certain that West Ham forward Carlos Tevez will be leaving England this summer after he has said he would rather play for Inter Milan than Real Madrid next season after being linked to both clubs.

"Better Inter than Real," Tevez was quoted as saying in Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport. "Inter is a great club. There is a real possibility that I will wear (Inter's) blue and black shirt next year."

Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are among the Premiership clubs to have expressed an interest in signing the 23-year-old Argentina striker from West Ham, but Tevez said he would feel comfortable in an Inter squad containing eight Argentine players.

"The Nerazzurri are an Argentine colony," Tevez said. "I wouldn't even have language problems."

Tevez, who is in Argentina's squad for the Copa America, moved to West Ham at the beginning of last season from Corinthians and helped the club avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The Premier League fined West Ham for acquiring Tevez after it was discovered his contract was owned by a third party, contravening the competition's rules.
