Pompey in talks with Nugent

England striker David Nugent will meet

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp for

talks today after Sunderland boss Roy

Keane pulled out of a £7million move.

Preston North End have confirmed that they have given Portsmouth permission to hold talks and Redknapp is now favourite to land the Preston striker, even though Nugent's preferred choice is Everton.
