- Iker Casillas was supposed to be given a fond farewell at the Bernabeu
- However he has pulled the plug on send off due to Real's treatment
- Casillas is expected to be replaced by Manchester United's David de Gea
Iker Casillas and Real Madrid appear to have finally reached agreement over the player's move to Porto and the Portuguese club are now waiting to be give the green light to announce the completion of the transfer.
Angry at the way his departure has been treated, the club legend has turned down the offer of a send off in the stadium.
On Thursday night, the two parties were still arguing over the details of the goalkeeper’s pay-off with Casillas threatening to stay at the club, which would have potentially derailed David de Gea’s move to the Spanish capital.

But after reporting for training on Friday, Casillas was told by his advisers that talks were back on track with Real Madrid and he left the session early.
Real Madrid had briefed this week that Casillas would be given a hero’s send off on Friday with the gates of the Santiago Bernabeu open to the public before he jetted off but last minute wrangles over who paid what meant the divorce is a messy one.
The legendary goalkeeper is now in no mood for homages he is considering the option of giving a press conference on Friday evening or Saturday morning depending on when Porto announce his move.
The club claimed that while they were prepared to make up the difference between what the goalkeeper will be earning in Portugal over the next two years and what he would have earned had he stayed at Madrid until the end of his contract in 2017, Casillas wanted Madrid to pay up his contract independent of any deal he closes with his new club.
The depiction of Casillas as a money-grabbing mercenary to the very end suited those who have whistled and jeered him over the last two seasons.
Those close to the player suggested a club that spends the amount of money on new players as Real does, should treat its departing stars better.

Casillas has been offered a two-year deal worth £2.5million a season by Porto with the possibility of an extra year in 2017.
At Real Madrid he is due to pick up £10.4m for the last two seasons of his contract. The club say they will pay the difference and it now seems that meets Casillas' satisfaction.
Real Madrid presented new Brazilian right back Danillo on Thursday and they took the unprecedented step of making him do his press conference alone so that there was no official club figure sat next to him to be asked Casillas-related questions.
