Keeper Foster set for run out with United reserves

Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster is set to end his long injury lay-off

with an appearance for the reserves against Middlesbrough tonight.

The 24-year-old, who has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Red

Devils despite having joined from Stoke three years ago, underwent knee surgery last summer and after undergoing months of rehabilitation has been named in the squad to face Boro at the Marston's Arena in Northwich.

First-team fringe players Chris Eagles, Gerard Pique and Danny Simpson are also included.
