Tigers hunt Sharks coach

Leicester are in talks with

Natal Sharks boss Dick Muir with

a view to appointing him head

coach for next season.

The current Welford Road coach,

Marcelo Loffreda, is to be

sidelined after a disappointing

season that hinges on the Tigers

winning their final two games.


Moving: Muir could be heading for Leicester

Today they go to Newcastle in

the Guinness Premiership and

next week play at home to

Harlequins and they must beat

both to stand any chance of

making the play-offs, let alone a

Heineken Cup place.

Muir coached the Sharks to a

Super 14 final last year, only to be

defeated in the final minute by

Bryan Habana's try for the Bulls.

If Loffreda stays it will as

director of rugby.
