Hodgson cautious as Cottagers get ready to face Newcastle

Roy Hodgson has warned his

Fulham players against

complacency when they travel to

Newcastle on Saturday in the

unusual position of being the

in-form team.

More Fulham news

Fulham go into the game on the

back of a draw at Blackburn and a

win over Everton, while Newcastle

claimed only their first point in

five games in Monday's stalemate

at Birmingham.

But Hodgson said: “If we start

believing that because we've done

quite well in the last couple of

games then our problems are

virtually over then we're

incredibly naive.

"Our problems

are still great because we're still

in the relegation zone well adrift

of the pack of teams just above.

“Everything still depends on us

making certain that the hunger,

the desire, the enthusiasm and the

work rate is there in every game.”
