You better work! A trim and toned Britney Spears bends over backwards to get her body in shape before she hits the hills of LA for a healthy hike

Britney Spears obviously practices what she preaches.

Her hit demands everyone 'better work' and the 33-year-old was doing just that Friday first stretching herself into shape by doing some yoga at home before going for a cardio boosting hike.

While most people struggle to get one workout in a day, the singing star did two before she had even had lunch.

The star first showed fans how she gets her body into shape by posting a picture of herself pulling a rather impressive yoga move.

In the snap, the star is pictured holding herself in a backwards bend, lengthening her body out by balancing on her toes with her forearms on the floor.

Britney is also the holding on a circular piece of equipment forcing her to stay in perfect form.

The singer captioned the picture simply: 'Nameste.'

Obviously when it comes to her at home exercise routine, the Till The World Ends singer does not mess around as she was dressed to sweat.

For her workout, the Pieces Of Me star wore a pair of short teal shorts that showed off her muscular dancer's legs with a tight figure highlighting tank.

And, of course, nothing quite says it is time to work like a sweatband so Brit wore a red white and blue retro one around her forehead.

For her hike, Britney kept her sweatband on but changed into a pair of orange shorts with a striped tank.

Perhaps feeling a little bit tired, as the 33-year-old reached the bottom of the hills she slowed down to send a text message.

After a double workout day, Britney had certainly worked up an appetite so she met her two boys Jayden and Sean at her neighborhood subway.

The star emerged holding a sandwich, no doubt one of the drinks being for one of her boys who dashed ahead with the pop stars hunky bodyguard.

The music icon has been looking on the top of her game of late, no doubt helped by her incessant performance schedule in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Britney - whose fitness levels have fluctuated over the years - recently appeared on the cover of Women's Health recently.

The star credited her dancing for helping her stay in shape.

She told the magazine: 'Dancing is a great cardio workout. Tough and fun at the same time.'

'I like my workouts to be effective in a short amount of time.

'I start with 20 minutes of intense cardio - usually running - move on to light free weights, body-weight exercises such as push-ups, squats, and sit-ups, then finish it off with a stretch.'
