Yarmouth get BHA handout

Last updated at 22:31 27 March 2008

Crisis-course Yarmouth are set to be bailed out

by the BHA to meet the prizemoney levels advertised

for their next fixture on April 18.

The course, hit by a trainers' boycott last Monday

because of poor prizemoney, successfully bid for one

of six fixtures handed back to the BHA by Great Leighs

after the new track's launch date was delayed again.

As it was already advertised in the Racing Calendar,

the evening fixture must be staged with those

prizemoney levels intact.

BHA spokesman Paul Struthers said: "If there's a

shortfall, our development fund will guarantee

those levels."
