First look: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice new trailer hits Comic-Con with cast revealing secret behind superhero feud

During the DC Comics takeover at Comic-Con on Saturday, the cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice took the stage in Hall H.

Stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams and Jeremy Irons appeared with director Zack Snyder to discuss the film.

But along with the panel discussion came a new, full-length trailer, which finally unveiled the reasons for the feud between the two supposed 'good guys.'

When news of the film first surfaced, fans wondered: 'Why are they fighting?' 'Aren't they both good guys?'

But the new trailer finally confirmed Batman's much-discussed grudge against Superman.

While the high flying hero from planet Krypton was attempting to save the world in 2013's Man Of Steel, he inadvertently destroyed one of Wayne Industries' towers, killing innocent lives.

The latest trailer shows Affleck as Bruce Wayne running towards his crumbling skyscraper in a fury of rage.

Saturday's appearance at the panel saw Affleck looking scruffy and slightly downtrodden as expected, having recently ended a 10-year marriage to actress Jennifer Garner. But fans gave the Good Will Hunting star a standing ovation as he entered Hall H.

Along with background for the feud, the newest trailer included other developments including the first look at Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman.

With long hair and convincing 'bad guy' cynicism, Eisenberg grumbles: 'Black and blue. God versus man. Day versus night.'

And though little has been revealed about where Gadot's Wonder Woman stands in this whole narrative, she is seen taking a beating only to get back up and continue fighting.

Also Bruce Wayne's loyal companion Alfred (Jeremy Irons) and Clark Kent's love interest Lois Lane (Amy Adams) make their debut appearances in the new trailer.

Snyder and the film's stars also discussed production and plot points during the panel, touching on everything from Batman's new suit, the motivations behind the two feuding heroes and former Batman Christian Bale's advice to Ben Affleck.

As live Tweeted via Variety, Affleck said that the Batman veteran Christian Bale told him to: 'Make sure you can piss in that suit.'

Images of Batman's new suit had been revealed previously, which showed alterations to the design. Director Zack Snyder commented: 'It's not really enhancing his strength more than it is protecting him from Superman.'

Co-stars: Also in attendance for Saturday's panel were Jeremy Irons (Alfred), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor)
